IT WASN'T ALWAYS EASY. 🥴
After spending 15 years of my professional career in salons, having both managed and owned my own successful salon, I decided it was time for a change and became a Master trainer with one of the globes top lash brands. Shortly after I was hired into a dual role as their Social Media Manager.
During this time I decided to embark on a journey to complete a diploma in Social Media Marketing, along with opening my own social media agency.
My business was going great, however I knew it could be better. Even as a social media strategist, I too struggled to show my face or to talk on social media, for fear of looking silly, not coming across as an expert and dealing with that little voice inside my head that told me I shouldn't.
I still look back now and cringe at the lack of confidence I had, the um's and ah's filling my short talking video.
But here's the thing... The more of put myself out there, the easier it became. I started connecting with my audience, growing my confidence and showcasing to my audience I was a leader in my niche. I was still scared, but I kept going!
THEN SOMETHING AMAZING HAPPENED!
The more I put myself out there, the more my audience grew. Then my engagement grew... Then all my dreams came true when I was asked to SPEAK at a Cosmetic Tattooing Conference.
You can say from there the rest is history. I have now spoken at many events across the country, including Beauty Expo 2022, 2023, and the upcoming 2024. Plus I have my first international speaking event in Texas in April 😱
NON OF THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE ✨ None of this would have been possible if I hadn't had the confidence to speak on my social media. If I was too shy or continually worried about what others thought or would say.
